I am not going to write about the current “elephant in the room”! Everyone is talking about it so – enough!
I have been fortunate to work with so many good actors and actresses, more men than women, mainly because women have less parts than men and often I was the only one or one of maybe two or three in a production.
The Haunting of Margam Castle
I recently made a film called “The Haunting of Margam Castle“, due out in September of this year, streaming and on DVD. It’s unlikely to be in a theatre, as they are closed and likely to remain so for the forseeable future…so sad. Even the major studios are scrambling now to release their films made for a bigger screen, onto Netflix or Amazon the major streamers.
“The Haunting of Margam Castle” is a good horror film and I think you will enjoy it. It has a good script, some fine actors and an amazing location – Margam Castle itself, supposedly really haunted. It is one of the coldest, scariest places I have ever worked. It makes a living mainly by renting out for films or even more lucrative – Ghost Tours.

I have known the actor Derren Nesbitt on and off over the years and it was fun to work with him again. Not sure where and when was the last time we worked together, probably a “Danger Man aka Secret Agent” thrilling actor Patrick McGoohan) episode or an episode of “The Saint” ( kind, funny Roger Moore)…we were both appearing in a number of those wonderful ITC series Sir Lew Grade’s ‘baby’ at the time…we were almost family always bumping into actors we knew and working together. Derren recently gave an extraordinary performance as an aging drag queen in the film “Tucked“. It is truly an extraordinary performance and I urge you to watch it on Amazon, or Vudu or one of the streaming channels. It’s a far cry from his signature role in “Where Eagles Dare“. My only disappointment was not to have worked with Caroline Munroe, who was also in the film. I have heard nothing good things about her, what a lovely person, she is and a heart throb for many of you blokes!
With Leonard Nimoy- “Mission Impossible”
One of my Facebook friends – Jimmy Keary – prolific Irish writer of many produced stage comedies, sent me a message today that they have been re-running some old episodes of “Mission Impossible” in Ireland (Eire) and my episode “Lovers Knot” popped up. I loved making it – playing opposite Leonard Nimoy. Leonard was a joy to work with – a generous, kind and very talented actor. And it was a good opportunity for him to get away from the Mister Spock image for a bit. We had good chemistry on screen – very important if you’re playing lovers. I have always been lucky that way…have generally had good chemistry with most leading men.
