Getting excited, off to London on Friday …. rehearse and then play Lady MacB in the Scottish play….Macbeth.. as it’s better known. I am absolutely petrified…but exhilarated at the same time. It really is a scenery chewing role. I have been lucky enough to be able to run lines with the talented, lovely actor Aaron Moore, who did the reading of REUNION (next film) with me recently in Ketchum. It is wonderful to do it with someone who understands and loves the Bard as much as I do. I know once the lines are really there, I can get to grips with what she’s really thinking and saying and the character will come through. Its an interesting time to be doing this play, as it is all about ambition, reaching for power and how it can ultimately destroy you. Seems to me there’s a lot of ambition and grabbing for power now on the political stage worldwide and many undeserving and unhappy people are getting crushed in the process.
I am one lucky woman though, as most of us are in the Western world, I have a great family and some wonderful friends and still staggering on with my career!
Last happy word…my friends who were involved, and I won a Best Idaho Film award at the local Boise Film Festival for our short film Cougar…put a smile on my face. Here I am with two of them Will von Tagen: Leading Man and co-Director and Mike Tetro: Producer. We had fun. Thanks to those who voted for us and if you click on the link, you can watch it!
Safe trip tomorrow weather is a bit cold(17) but Nice and very Sunny
Very much looking forward to meeting you as I am also playing several parts in Macbeth. If you are petrified, just triple that!
Dont worry…feel the same..we will be great! Jane
